Lars Jeppesen
Hi, We have bought two JTAG-HS3 debuggers. One of them works perfectly, but the other one keeps returning: "1 whole scan chain (device configuration stabilizing)" or "1 whole scan chain (device configuration unstable)" when using the "targets" command. Any idea what could be the problem? Best regards Lars
jpeyron
Hi @Lars Jeppesen, Are you using the same usb cable when using the different JTAG HS3's? If not could you try the HS3 with the usb cable from the working HS3? Have you tried using Adept 2? thank you, Jon
Lars Jeppesen
Hi @jpeyron Yes, I use the same usb cabel for both debuggers. I tried Adept 2 and that seems to work with both my debuggers. I can scan the chain and program the FPGA. The XSDB tool from Xilinx still doesn't work with one of the two debuggers. Best regards Lars
jpeyron
Hi @Lars Jeppesen, Since both JTAG-HS3's work in Adept 2 I would suggest reaching out to xilinx to see why this is occurring with XSDB. thank you, Jon

Hi,
We have bought two JTAG-HS3 debuggers.
One of them works perfectly, but the other one keeps returning:
"1 whole scan chain (device configuration stabilizing)" or "1 whole scan chain (device configuration unstable)"
when using the "targets" command.
Any idea what could be the problem?
Best regards
Lars
