Manoj Peiris
Hi.. We are trying to lock two interferometers using NEXYS 2 systems. And we are planning to use them by connecting into a single PC. May I Know whether it is possible to do it? If so how we can do it? Thank you
Alex
Hi, can you provide more details, ie how do you use Nexys 2 to lock the interferometer and then connect things to PC?
Manoj Peiris
Hi, We are using LockBoxControlWin application to control the FPGA.(Arne Schwettmann- "FPGA-based locking circuit for external cavity diode laser frequency stabilization"). By using this application we were able to control the phase of an interferometer. (Using ERROR and PIEZO connections) I just need to know, is there any possibility of using two FPGAs at the same time using a single PC. Thank you. JColvin
Hi Manoj Peiris, In principle you are certainly allowed to connect to FPGAs to a single PC. What you will be limited by (and what you need to try out) is if your application can control both of the boards at the same time. Thanks,JColvin
Alex
Hi, you can use the serial port on Nexys 2 to talk to the PC. I guess you use LockBoxControlWin at PC (I search something related to it in http://ftp.aip.org/epaps///rev_sci_instrum/E-RSINAK-82-014110/README.TXT_README.TXT) to send info to Nexys 2 so that it will control the inferometer.
