PmodMIC3 Frequency Response

bikerglen

Question

What's the frequency response of the PmodMIC3 board from the mic and filters to the ADC? I'm trying to select the lowest possible sample rate for the ADC on the PmodMIC3 board that prevents any aliasing. Also trying to avoid running an analog simulation of the filters or probing the input to the ADC while playing test tones. Thanks.

As best I can tell from reading data sheets and running analog simulations, the upper end of the frequency response is in the ultrasonic range. But there’s probably very little energy there so I’d probably be OK sampling at 48kHz then filtering and decimating to something closer to my target sample rate. Later today, I may try connecting this and an ILA block in an Arty FPGA, setting them near a speaker, generating various tones with Audacity, and see what I get.
