About (student license for the ((ISE webpack)) from XILINX)

Dear Support:

 

In 2015 we have purchased (Basys 2 Spartan -3E FPGA Board)(QTY: 50pcs) and (Basys 3 Artix-7 FPGA Board)(QTY: 10pcs) and (Spartan -3E Core Board XC3S500E XILINX FPGA Evaluation Development Board kit)(QTY: 10pcs) from your store https://store.digilentinc.com/

 

Now we are facing a problem that we are unable to obtain the student license for the ((ISE webpack)) from XILINX.

 

Please find attached pictures for more details about the Product IDs that we have.

Hi @Marwan,

For ISE Webpack, Xilinx will generate a separate free licence but you'll have to and register on the Xilinx website and download ISE from there.  https://www.xilinx.com/support/download/index.html/content/xilinx/en/downloadNav/design-tools.html

However, for Basys3 you will need Vivado since ISE supports until Spartan-6 and Basys 3 is already Artix-7. If you still have problems licencing, I suggest you to contact Xilinx since you'll get a faster answer than through us. They have a support section here: https://www.xilinx.com/support/answer-navigation/design-tools/licensing.html They also have a community forum and a service portal if your questions are not solved with the documentation they provided: https://www.xilinx.com/support.html

Hi,

it may be a good idea to not make that information public (in other words, delete the screenshot and send it as a private mail).

This might complicate matters if you're trying to re-claim a license.

Just my $0.02.
