Tera Term problem with Zybo board

Hi,

I am trying to use a Zybo board for one of my applications.

I have a problem with Zybo board when using Tera Term and SDK in my Dell Laptop which runs Window 10 and Vivado 2016.1. I am trying to run the Digilent tutorial as shown in the link below.

The SDK said the Laptop is connected to the Zybo board through UART COM5 at baud rate 115200 but the Tera Term had an error message as “Cannot open COM5. Access denied.”

Below is the screen snapshot of the problem. Could anybody please help.

So... what did you expect

SDK sais it is connected to serial port 5 and Tera Term tells you it can't open COM5 because someone else is using it (SDK?) so Access denied

Hi @dvo,

To help clarify, you can only have one serial terminal connected to a com port. The SDK terminal is a serial terminal. If you would like to use tera term then disconnect the SDK terminal and you should be able to connect to tera term.
