Brandon
What is the current rating for PmodD when using the 3.3V power supply? Is the maximum rating 3A or 800mA?
jpeyron
Hi @Brandon, I will need to look into this more. I believe the table you attached is showing max and average current use for the different Voltage rails. The pmod spec here discusses more about FPGA i/o current for the pmod ports under section 2 Electrical Specifications. In the Nexys 3 reference manual here under section 10.2 Pmod Ports is discusses that VCC and Ground pins on the pmod ports can deliver up to 1A of current. thank you, Jon
jpeyron
Hi @Brandon, I would suggest to go off of the Pmod spec and the reference manual. the Pmod spec shows that the drive strength for FPGA pins is generally in the range +/-16 mA to +/-24 mA and in the reference manual that VCC and Ground pins on the pmod ports can deliver up to 1A of current. cheers, Jon
