Adept Runtime, Usb Connectivity

Question

Hi

first introducing myself,

i'm a electronics developer from germany with loads of interesting projects regarding

FPGA, USB and microcontrollers.

I'm trying to interface a Digilent Basys2 FPGA board with the Raspberry Pi.

But what I'm trying to do is to use the USB ports. I don't have any problem with serial

connection via Rx Tx , I2C, SPI or all that stuff - thats well known and not the topic here.

On a normal linux machine (I tried 64 bit debian wheezy) it's absolutly no problem to use the digilent adept

runtime and the 'depp' example (wich is somewhat funny, 'depp' its the meaning of 'idiot'

in german).

But I see that the runtime makes use internally of libusb for communication

with the AT90USB micro on the basys board.

As far as I see the digilent adept runtime is not open source, so I

cant port that to the Raspi. Does anyone know some of the USB control

transfers that I need to communicate that depp example? Or is it

possible to get that portion of the digilent adept runtime in source I need to

do usb comm ?

regards

Sorry for the late reply.

Meanwhile the Adept Runtime porting to Raspberry PI was performed and it should appear on our product page soon.

Please write an email to support at digilentinc dot com to get the download link for this, earlier than "soon" :)
