How to use two encoder in myrio and diglent NI myrio motor adapter.

Myrio A expansion port has only one direct encoder pins (pin 18 and 21). But in digilent motor driver there are two encoders. Is there any direct usage in LABVIEW or can anyone help me in programming additional encoders

There are a couple of ways:

1. Wire the second encoder over to the other MXP port encoder inputs (you could use a breadboard or proto adapter http://www.digilentinc.com/Products/Detail.cfm?NavPath=2,1269,1281&Prod=MXP-WW). 

2. Modify the default FPGA personality that ships with myRIO to create another encoder input using unused DIO pins. You can copy existing LV-FPGA code for the first encoder. I think there are tutorials on modifying the default FPGA personality.

I Am new to Myrio FPGA programming. I know to work with Myrio express tools. Can you send me any document regarding beginner level in FPGA programming. Also guide me how to copy LV-FPGA code of first encoder.

Can we apply electrical brake to motors through this motor drivers?
