Cmod MX1 Bootloader

I'm trying to use the chipKIT-Cmod-v01000303.hex bootloader file on my own PCB design using the same micro as the Cmod MX1 board (PIC32MX150F128D).

It programs fine, however the LED attached to PA10 is blinking much slower like 1Hz compared to the Cmod MX1 board that blinks ~2Hz to 3Hz faster when same booloader is used.

I believe this is the reason why I can't download Arduino sketches to my board.  Somehow the system clock is running too slow.  I'm using an 8MHz crystal just like the Cmod MX1 board.

I spoke with our microcontroller engineer and they told me that for the bootloader designed for the Cmod MX1 to potentially work on your board, your board would need to have the same UART and same frequency crystal (as opposed to oscillator) as the Cmod MX1.
