Question

Hi - I was looking at the logic analyzer pro bundle.  I do a lot of RS485 work and was wondering if the two probe channels have an algebraic add like my scope does for viewing differential signals??  The product note clearly states no differential inputs but some comments indicate otherwise with a work around.  How would one use the analyzer on an RS485 line?  Many thanks for info.

Best - Scott

Hi @Muniac

The Digital Discovery does not support differential inputs. The correct way would be analysing signals after a transceiver.
Connecting one of the differential wires to digital inputs should also work as long the logic threshold is acceptable. On Digital Discovery this can be adjusted between 0.6 and 1.4V It is also need a ground/reference and the signal voltage should be in range of 0/5V.
