Save an acquisition

Joao Paulo

Question

Hi all,

I'm trying to save data from an acquisition but I'm not getting it.

I mean, I want to document my tests and measurements. So, I wish to save the data in a way that I can later open it in WaveForms and navigate the capture.

For now, I have only image but this does not help much.

Does anyone know if WaveForms supports it?

Thank you,

João Paulo

Hi @attila

That is what I already used but that does not meet what I want.

What I mean is to export an entire acquisition in a way that can later be oppened later.

For instance, this feature is present in Logic from Seleae.

If you have Logic Seleae software please open the file attached. As I opened I can navigate my data.

Hi @jpnbino,

I don't necessarily have the answer to your question, but just as a clarification question so that we ensure we understand what you are looking for, you want to be able to:

- capture data with logic analyzer
- save the data
- reopen the data from inside the logic analyzer tool itself so you can scroll and zoom and use the cursors as you please

Is that accurate?

Thank you,
JColvin

Hi @jpnbino

There are many save options:
- Export Picture for presentations
- Export Data (to csv, txt, tdms) for other applications
- Save Acquisition data that can be loaded later preserving time information
- Save Project that includes acquisitions, tabs, interpreters, trigger options, views... there is type option to not to include acquisitions
- Save Workspace that includes all the instruments and settings, there is type option to not to include acquisitions reducing file size
