Alex Posted April 2, 2015 Share Posted April 2, 2015 Hi, just give my two cents. Perhaps, you can check if the driver is installed properly or not. Supposed the device manager will show USB serial port (COM xx) if they detect the UART and install all driver. And if you open up the properties, you should see tags like general, port settings, drivers and details. You can follow the below instructions in the reference manual to manually install the driver. Free Windows and Linux drivers can be downloaded from www.exar.com. Typing the EXAR part number “XR21V1410” into the search box will provide a link to the XR21V1410’s land page, where links for current drivers can be found. After the drivers are installed, I/O commands from the PC directed to the COM port will produce serial data traffic on the A16 and B16 FPGA pins.
