I have been following many Analog Discovery users trying to use it in Raspbery Pi and also about the problems.

Have you tried this with AD2?

Hi @Wojtek

The SD card for such Linux systems usually has 2 partitions. The first small boot partition is FAT which visible under Windows and the seconds is Ext4 which is not supported by Windows. You could mount the boot partition in Linux and save small amount of data there, or use 3rd party app to browse the Ext4 partition from Windows.

When I connect the LCD via hdmi to Orange Pi PC+ I only have a white screen. I do not know where I could change the settings in Armbian so that I can see the normal image on this display just like on a computer monitor. For RPi3 I knew what to do and where because it is described on wiki page for this display.  Unfortunately I do not know linux well.

You can change the resolution using the command "h3disp" (https://forum.armbian.com/index.php?/topic/752-h3disp-change-display-settings-on-h3-devices/).

When I installed the graphic interface there were some troubles with resolution in my monitor. With the correct selection the problem was solved.

I have successfully made AD2 running on Orange PI PC Plus.

I have also configured VNC (over WiFI) using the tutorial: https://diyprojects.io/armbian-access-remote-desktop-orange-pi-vnc/#.Wn7FXq7T5hF

BUT VERY IMPORTANT - do not use/install tightvncserver - instead use vnc4server. There are issues with keyboard input in tightvnc & QT.

sudo apt-get install vnc4server

Hi,

I'm trying to use the AD on Orange Pi over a usb isolator based on ADUM4160. AD is recognized but I can't select it without error. I tested with a pendrive and works.

Running on my win 7 notebook everything is ok with usb isolator and AD.

Thanks

I think it may be issue with power supply. Do you have 5V power supply to power up AD2 using DC connector?

Quote

External supply option: 5V, 2.5A (not included) 5.5/2.1mm connector, positive inner pin

As I receive my ADUM4160 isolator I will test it myself.

I'm using AD (1), but power supply is not a problem because the  isolator use an independent power supply with TL431 and BJT to supply 5V. On windows 7 x64 AD + isolator works well, just with less update because of the USB 1.2 limitation (12mbps).

But where from the TL431 takes power? USB of Orange Pi or external power supply? I have AD2 so maybe there is an issue with AD1?

From an external (isolated) power supply.
