Genesys2 and Nexys Video FMC Connector

Regarding the FMC HPC connector on the Genesys2 and the FMC LPC connector on the Nexys Video boards.

The HA and LA signals for the FMC specification are differential. Is that the way that they have been laid out on the PCBs? Is there any test data for maximum data rate for either implementation?

I have reached out to our layout engineer about the test data and FMC specifications for the FMC on the Genesys 2 and the Nexys Video. In case you were not aware the schematics for the Genesys 2(page 1 and 2) and the Nexys Video(page 2) show which pins on their respective FMC's are differential paired.

Hi @zygot,

I re-confirmed the HA and LA signals for the FMC specification are differential. Unfortunately, we do not have test data for maximum data rate for either implementation. Our layout engineer is pretty confident that you should be able to achieve 400 Mhz and probably much higher with the FMC's but no guarantees.  The limiting factor for the maximum data rate should be the FPGA.
