CAN Protocal Analyzer fro Digital Discovery in Waveform 2015

How can you do protocol analysis of CAN and I2S busses in the protocol analyser with in the Digital Discovery to device in the latest version of the Waveform 2015 software.

They are present in the logical analyser options but not in the protocol analyser.

The Protocol interface does not support CAN, nor master CAN. This interface only supports UART, SPI, I2C.
You can use the CAN protocol interpreter in Logic Analyzer for communication verification.

For protocol analysis (parallel bus, UART, SPI, I2C/TWI, I2S/PCM, CAN, 1-Wire) use the Logic Analyzer.

The Protocol tool supports UART, SPI, I2C mainly for master purposes.

Ok. So for a slave application we can use the logic analyser as normal for this. However what if you are trying to debug a MASTER CAN interface, were the protocol  needs to be verified. How can we do this with if the protocol analyser, alternatively if we have a CAN slave bus but no master, then the Protocol Analyser should be able to drive a CAN bus sequence so as to debug it.

Please can you add a CAN bus also a LIN bus into protocol analyser? It will be great improvement for automotive industry where AD/AD2/EE can be used then.

do you think that master mode in Protocol instrument will be possible without any CAN on LIN controller, only with CAN or LIN transceiver (eg. TJA1042 resp. TJA1027)?
