JamesCarruthers
Hi all, Is there any way to play a WAV file through my AD2 via the Wavegen? I see there is a play — but I don't get what format the files have to be. James
jpeyron
Hi @JamesCarruthers, I just downloaded the below wav file and waveforms wavegen was able to play. I did not see anything about file types in the waveforms 2015 reference manual but here it is in case you need it. cheers, Jon batman_theme_x.wav
JamesCarruthers
Hi Jon — strange it didn't work for me before — but that one does — thanks! James
attila
Hi @JamesCarruthers The WaveForms application first tries to decode the audio file using the available system codecs of Windows and Linux. Normally it should decode wav, mp3, ogg, avi, mpg,... but this system codec support is unreliable and might fail. In this case relies on the implemented WAV decoder supporting PCM; float, int; big/little endian; mono/stereo
JamesCarruthers
Thanks @attila - I think I may have just happened upon an odd codec.
