Logic Level Shift NEXYS3 Output

sting

Question

For a NEXYS3 is there a component you know of that will take either the PMOD outputs or the differential VHDC outputs and logic shift high logic level to above 3.6v. Need to do fast to preserve fidelity of 20nS wide pulse. Thinking 100 MHz min bandwidth for level shift component.

Thanks.

At 100MHz, I think your best bet would be to use a VMODWW (http://digilentinc.com/Products/Detail.cfm?NavPath=2,648,848&Prod=VMOD-WW) and solder together the circuit yourself. You might be able to get away with this using a pmodBB (http://digilentinc.com/Products/Detail.cfm?NavPath=2,401,471&Prod=PMOD-BB), but I've been told that the pin capacitance and series resistor on the Pmod traces would give you problems at 100MHz.

Whether you go with the Pmod or Vmod approach, you should be able to find a level shifter on digikey or elsewhere that you could solder into your circuit to suit your application
