Connect PmodAMP2 to active speakers

Is it possible to connect the PmodAMP2 board to active (amplified) speakers?

From the schematic I see that the "sleeve" connector of the audio jack is connected to "OUT+" of the amplifier IC and not to GND as an active speaker might require.

Hi @cfib90,

This is a amplified mono female connector. Unlike a standard mono out from like our nexys 4ddr image attached below. So i would not connect this to powered speakers.  Here is an Instructable with the basys 3 and the PmodAMP2. Here is the schematic for the IC and here is the schematics for the PmodAMP2.
