It depends what you mean Elvis with the Analog Discovery.

Do you mean the software (Multi-Sim) with the Discovery?

Or do you mean Waveforms with Elvis?

Otherwise, the Elvis is ultimately just a smart-breadboard, so you can still use the Discovery to take readings from the circuit.

I had a similar question about the same set of hardware and software, which I purchased in conjunction with a UT online class.  I got the Analog Discovery scope packaged with the NI software in a single purchase from Digilent.  The only hardware is the Analog Discovery scope. "NI ELVISmx" is just the software part of the ELVIS platform.  It's a set of virtual instruments that looks similar to Waveforms.  I haven't bothered to install it yet; I just got up and running with Waveforms.  It looks polished, but before I put it onto my computer and sink any time into it, was was hoping to know if it in fact it does work with the Analog Discovery, if it has all the capabilities of the Discovery + Waveforms, and it takes any tricky messing around to get working.
