sbobrowicz
If you are using the older linaro with a full ubuntu desktop, I would recommend connecting a monitor, a USB keyboard and a USB mouse. Then you can just boot into the desktop and use the graphical bluetooth utility like you were using a PC running Ubuntu. You might be able to do something similar in the newer alip builds, but you will probably have to install some additional packages.

sbobrowicz
A quick glance around the internet seems to suggest that most of these dongles tended to work with ubuntu automatically, which is good to know. Probably what that means is that either the kernel or the Linaro version of Ubuntu left out bluetooth support to save on space, and you will need to turn it back on. When you run dmesg, do you get any bluetooth related messages? Also, I still need the output of lsusb. Do you have petalinux installed, and have you ever rebuilt the kernel before? If it turns out that bluetooth support is disabled in the kernel you are going to need to do this.
