HS3 HW_Server trouble

A customer on our website asked the following question:

Hello,

I have Digilent HS3 and it has stopped enumerating as a HW_SERVER in Vivado.

I have the HS3 connected to my device, however it cannot connect to the FPGA because the HS3 HW_SERVER is not running.

Could you please provide some troubleshooting steps please?

Which version of Vivado are you using? Since you are not able to see the hardware target.  It could be an issue with the cable, maybe cable drivers. Does the connect_hw_server command execute ok?

Hi,

This is a thread already solved by support. The connector of the device was broken. It was not even listed in the Device Managed as any type of USB device.

@Bianca I am having a similar issue with a Basys3 that I just received. What specifically should I look for in the Device Manager to help identify whether the Basys3 device is listed?
