Nexys Video Ethernet and PmodNIC100 questions

JColvin

Question

A customer on our website asked the following question:

I tried to find any documentation about the use of the onboard Ethernet port of the Nexys Video Artix-7 FPGA nor was I able to find anything for the PmodNIC100: Network Interface Controller.

Any links to documents or examples that use both of these functionality would be GREATLY appreciated.

These two features were the main reason I purchased this kit.

The response is below.

Hello,

From my understanding, the only Ethernet demo Digilent has created for the Nexys Video is available here in the Nexys Video Resource Center. The PmodNIC100 on the other hand will be a lot more tricky because we do not have any non-Microchip based demos for it. I have asked some of our applications engineers for more information about using the Ethernet port on the Nexys Video; they'll get back to you here on the Forum.

Thanks,
JColvin

Hello,

Beyond the link that JColvin has for the "getting started with microblaze servers" here is some websites that have hdl examples of using the Ethernet port here and here. Unfortunately, there is currently nothing more than the Microchip based demo available for the PmodNIC100.

thank you,

Jon
