Have you built and booted a bare-metal project on the SD card?  I played with that for a couple days (Vivado 2014.4), and I just built linux (Digilent u-boot/linux) and am able to boot successfully.   I'm using my own simple PL design (not started from the Digilent zybo base system), so I had a couple of 'hardware' things to figure out along with the software steps, but it does work.   I'd like to eventually get something like linaro-nano that I could use with console/ssh.

try cross compiling it for  arm core and copy the files to the lib directory on your board. I my self am doing something similar except i couldn't copy the files coz it keeps saying that there isn't enough space. if you have found another way please do share :)
