Arty A7 Board Not Connecting to Laptop

spaceengineer_newbie

Question

How do I get my Windows 10 64-bit laptop to read the Arty A7 board? We are using Xilinx and Vivado 2018.3 to program the board for a project. It is popping up this error shown below, when we try to connect the board.

SDK fails to program the flash when creating a MCS file and trying to program it through the hardware manager shows that the part can not be erased and is coming back with a read code 0 instead of 1075.

Hi @spaceengineer_newbie,

What revision of the Arty A7 100T do you have? Additionally, it might be hard to read, but what flash memory type do you have on the Arty A7 100T? This should be the IC3/IC4 that is below Pmod JA and Pmod JB; I found the easiest way for me to determine if it was a Spansion or Micron memory was to take a picture of it with my phone camera at the right angle where the lettering was clear and then I could zoom in on the captured photo.

Thanks,
JColvin
