Alpha_HW
Hello Team, is the schematic for Genesys ZU -3EG board REV B available? At the official web page seems a B.1 version of the schematic is available but actually it contain a D.1 version! https://digilent.com/reference/programmable-logic/genesys-zu/start?redirect=1 Furthermore components on the board seems not to match/be present and the OOB-3EG-demo design for the board make use of the UART1 at different pins than the one indicated in the schematic. Could you please provide the correct schematic? Thanks Fabio
0 JColvin
Hi @Alpha_HW, I've reached out to another engineer more familiar with the Genesys ZU demos about your question regarding the UART pins. For whatever reason I couldn't get the Rev B1 of the schematic to upload onto the Resource Center, but I've attached it to this post in the meantime. Thanks, JColvin 1310545701_GenesysZU-3EG_schB1_public.pdf
0 BogdanVanca
Hello @Alpha_HW, The OOB demo configures the UART1 interface as EMIO, thus the RX and TX pins are exposed to the PL side. You can connect them to any pins you want. Best Regards, Bogdan Vanca
0 Alpha_HW
Hello Bogdan, after further investigations it turns out that the PS_REF_CLK(pin24, IC67), that is supposed to be 33MHz frequency, is actually 26MHz approx. That would explain why both UART are not properly recognized by PCs/other devices. Do you have any clue about it? Best Regards, Fabio
