Ardelle Froeliger
Are DIGILENT and TFT LCD compatible? How do they need to be connected?
0 JColvin
Hi @Ardelle Froeliger, Which TFT LCD are you referring to and which Digilent board are you thinking of? If the LCD screen accepts 3.3 V logic signals then in theory you should be able to use it with Digilent system boards, though you may need to do some individual wiring and use an external power supply. Thanks, JColvin

Thanks, JColvin I'm using Stone's TFT LCD, which I've used to connect to an Arduino UNO, so I assume it can be connected to a DIGILENT. I'm thinking about buying a Digilent product just haven't thought about which one I should buy yet. My LCD and Arduino are connected according to DIN-TX, DOUT-RX. I mainly want to do a project related to infrared and radar.
0 JColvin
Hi @Ardelle Froeliger, The Arduino UNO operates at 5 V logic and Digilent boards are generally set to operate at 3.3V logic so you would need some sort of voltage translator to get the two products electrically compatible (unless the TFT board you are referring to supports 3.3V logic as well; I wasn't able to easily find documentation for the picture of the board you linked on their website). In terms of what Digilent board you might want to use, a microcontroller board would be the easiest to port the software from the Arduino Uno, though most of the Digilent made microcontroller boards are retired or no longer in production, so I would probably not recommend going down that route if you're hoping for some more in-depth support. Any number of the Digilent FPGA/SoC boards would probably work (with the same voltage caveat as before) with the TFT display, though the porting of any existing Arduino Uno code would be much more effort. 0 Ardelle Froeliger
Okay I understand, thank you very much for your patient reply, about the screen parameters I uploaded as an attachment. I'll be thinking about whether to pursue this idea. Datasheet STONE STWI070WT-01.pdf
