Hi, Looking for 4 channel ADC with compatible FPGA board

Hi Everyone,

I am a postdoc at Johns Hopkins Hospital. We are looking for a system to take in signal from 4 photo-multiplier tubes (output signal: 1-10 V, ~50 kHz) as an input to the FPGA board. We are not sure right now of logic slices we need. Do you have any suggestions for compatible ADCs and FPGA development boards?

Thank you

Hi @Rohan_C,

I don't have any direct FPGA recommendations with external ADCs (most Xilinx FPGA's embedded ADCs only operate from 0V to 1V and the external ADCs that Digilent sells do not have the voltage range you need).

Digilent does have the ADP3450, https://reference.digilentinc.com/test-and-measurement/analog-discovery-pro-3x50/start, which does have four oscilloscope channels that meet the specifications that you need.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,
JColvin

Hi JColvin,

Thank you for the reply. I think we can work around voltage by using a resistor in the circuit.

Do you think if we use USB104 A7: Artix-7 with Zmod Scope 1410-105 setup would work?

Also we need to give out differential voltage signals again at around ~50 kHz as an output. Are Pmod accessories like this compatible with USB104 A7?

Thank you
