Uart And Zybo Board

Hi...

 

 I am using the Zybo board with vivado 2014.1. So, while creating project, i have chosen the corresponding part.

 

 Since i have chosen the part rather than the board, i have to change the input frequency value in the clock configuration tab  of PS customization to 50 MHz.

 

 I wanted to use the UART on Zybo board.  I have customized my PS keeping only the UART1 port.

 The thing is data sending on uart (from board to pc) is working fine. I have done this by reading the status of the DIP      

  switches on the board. But, when i am trying to read values from Pc to the board (key entered on the keyboard), the output is not as expected.

 

 Can anybody put in some suggestions??

Can you describe a little bit HOW you are getting the data from the computer to the board?

(are you using a driver? if so which one?)

A board that is similar (that may help) is the Basys3, it also has a USB-HID (over FTDI) on it as well: https://reference.digilentinc.com/basys3:refmanual#usb-uart_bridge_serial_port

i am using the com port communication and the inbuilt terminal window in Xilinx SDK.

 

I give the input to the uart via the keyboard--> PC-->zybo.

The same code has been tested and is working properly on zedboard.
