current booster for AD2

do you offer or know of any third party board that can provide a current booster board for the analog discovery board 2?

Hi @ssm,

What level of current are you hoping to reach? You can always use an external power supply with the Analog Discovery 2 for more current capabilities (up to 700 mA from each channel of the programmable power supply) if the USB connection by itself is not enough.

With AUX power the limit is about 700mA or 2.1W / channel, like at 5V 420mA

I have a follow up question, the programmable power supply can give up to 700mA with the external power input,

how about the WaveGen, the maximum current is 50mA only, right? as shown in the post above by Attila,

The Wavegen DC output current depends on the voltage level, it is at least 10mA but at lower voltages it can deliver up to ~50mA
