Read/Write Data from pen drive using USB in ZYBO Z7-10

Question

Hi,

I am trying to read/write data from pen drive using USB protocol. Here, using board is ZYBO Z7-10 and USB0 is using with SDK14.7.

I searched in forums, all are suggesting peta linux. But we want to run the application on no OS.

Presently i am using xusbps_intr_example.c file. But, even USB device also not detecting.

Can anyone please share the basic code to detect the USB device and basic read/write data from externally connected USB device.

I don't want to use peta linux, only i want without OS based working application.

Please help me out.

Thanks in advance.

Hi @aparna,

Digilent does not have any examples for this functionality outside of Petalinux.

Xilinx does have a link for bare metal usage for USB in mass storage mode (Peripheral mode) available here: https://xilinx-wiki.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/A/pages/18842117/Zynq+Standalone+USB+device+driver, though I think that goes to the same example you were already using. The Xilinx forums may have some more details, but it doesn't seem like this is the case based on this forum thread: https://forums.xilinx.com/t5/Processor-System-Design-and-AXI/USB-storage-using-bare-metal-application-On-Zedboard/td-p/745825.

Thanks,
JColvin
