Chip in SF3 boards not correct

HungNV142

Question

I bought some SF3 boards, but Flash Chip on boards were not same in the document: https://reference.digilentinc.com/reference/pmod/pmodsf3/reference-manual?_ga=2.78289556.1273751806.1595820382-1855740420.1575969501.

They should be N25Q256A (3.3V), but I received MT25QU256ABA8ESF-0AAT TR (FBGA code is RW243) (1.8V). Whether I can supply these boards with 3.3V?

My question is same in this topic: (However, I can't find any solution)

Hi @HungNV142,

I apologize for the delay.

If you are able to read the serial code from the device, much like what was done on the other forum thread, it will be compatible with 3.3V (presuming you are using Digilent system board).

I did check the build list for the Pmod SF3 and confirmed that the flash part used is a MT25QL256ABA8ESF-0SIT or MT25QL256ABA8ESF-0AAT (same chip with the difference being an automotive or industrial temperature grade) both of which are 3.3V based.

Thanks,
JColvin
