Adept loses connection to devices

Leon.k

Question

Hello.

My project includes cmod-s7 and HS3 connected to the XC7A35T.

I work on windows 10.

Everything worked correctly, but sometimes the system lost connection to the devices.

Reinstalling the Digilent drivers helped.

The last time (today), this happened, and the reinstallation had no effect.

These devices appear in the device manager, but Adept2 does not detect them.

Replacing USB cables is also not effective.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @Leon.k,

I apologize for the long delay.

I presume that the XC7A35T is the Arty A7 board that you mentioned in your other thread? When you mention that the boards are not detected, are you referring to just the Cmod S7 or both the Cmod S7 and the Arty A7 that is downstream of the JTAG HS3?

Thanks,
JColvin

Hi @Leon.k,

Is Vivado (or more specifically, the Xilinx Hardware Manager) or some other software that works with the JTAG chain/FTDI chips open and running while you are attempting to connect to/detect the two FPGAs?

Also, it looks like the FPGAs are correctly detected in the Windows Device Manager (USB Serial Converter A and B). In the interest of me not presuming the wrong thing, what is the Bus Reported Device Description in the Driver Details for those (in Properties)?

Thanks,
JColvin
