Connecting Cables

Shane

Question

Hello, I am responsible for spec'ing out a set of equipment for students to use at home for their electrical classwork.  We are looking into the AD2 with some accessories, including the PowerBRICKs.  The AD2 looks like it comes with he required cable (USB to B-Micro connector) to connect to a computer, but not so for the PowerBRICKs, and on the webpage for the latter, it merely says a standard USB, but does not specifically indicate which connectors are required.  Is it the same as for the AD2?  Searching the available documentation did not reveal additional information.

@attila

Thank you or your quick reply, and my apologies in advance if I am being obtuse with this follow-up, but I really need to be exact here as we are ordering 500 cables and there are different microUSB connectors.  Can you please specify which?  I assume the requirements are male connectors on both ends, but I would appreciate if you can confirm?

Also, though I did not ask previously, what is the length of the cable included with an AD2?

Hi @Shane

The PowerBricks have micro USB AB connector, WMRU2AB-05FLB2DSR-4.0
These work with the same "USB A to micro-B cable" as the AD2:

Edit:
I think there are 2 cable lengths 4ft and 5ft, 310-053 and 310-053P.
Hope to have this clarified next week... due to holidays.
