I'm seeing this too, and I have to say: Your assertion that it is in fact signed and shrugging off the error that is nevertheless present for several of your users is rather upsetting to me. The advice to bypass this security mechanism is simply not acceptable! If I "run anyway", for all I know, I'm running malicious software.

there is nothing we can solve, this is Apple policy

I've encountered many such dead-ends where Apple is left holding the football, but this doesn't seem like one of those cases. It looks to me like you guys need to renew your signing keys or something.

I'd very much like to see this resolved. I don't know much specifically about poking at Mac software signatures, but I know my way around the command line and I am happy to help diagnose the source of this issue if I can (since I'm assuming you don't encounter this warning on systems you test releases with).

Also for the record, I have the "and identified developers" option selected in my system preferences (see attachment).

Hi @rtlong

The sign verification looks good:

$ codesign --verify --verbose /Applications/WaveForms.app/
/Applications/WaveForms.app/: valid on disk
/Applications/WaveForms.app/: satisfies its Designated Requirement

The macOS may complain about the image being downloaded from the internet.
