Jtag HS2 not detected by Impact or adept tools in ubuntu 19.10

Question

Hi I have a Jtag HS2 that I use to program without issues on windows 10 machines. However, when I plugged it into an Ubuntu 19.10, the impact tool doesnt detect the device. I have installed the adept2 drivers and when I run lsusb, I get the following:

~$ lsusb
Bus 001 Device 004: ID 0403:6010 Future Technology Devices International, Ltd FT2232C/D/H Dual UART/FIFO IC
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 0403:6014 Future Technology Devices International, Ltd FT232H Single HS USB-UART/FIFO IC
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 03fd:0008 Xilinx, Inc. Platform Cable USB II
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 004 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 003 Device 002: ID 046d:08d8 Logitech, Inc. QuickCam for Notebook Deluxe
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub

As you can notice, the Platform Cable USB II is another programmer I use, and it gets detected inside Impact.

However, the Jtag HS2 is detected as an FTDI device Bus 001 Device 003.

When I run djtgcfg enum, I dont see any devices:

djtgcfg enum
No devices found

Could you kindly advice me in this regard?

Thanks

Hi @DeepakOne,

I apologize for the incredibly long delay. I know that in Vivado the appropriate cable drivers are not installed by default in Linux systems, but it seems that you are instead using ISE iMPACT (with the Digilent ISE Plugin based on the console log) and I presume you got the correct .deb Adept installs for Ubuntu from the Adept Resource Center. I have asked another engineer for their thoughts on this.

Thanks,
JColvin
