Waveforms cannot identify AD2

jwallin

Question

I am having an issue with WaveForms identifying my AD2.  In the device manager instead of showing up as Discovery2, it shows up as "examplenotlaser."  The voltage remains around 4.84V and current is about 340 mA in the system monitor.  I am using both the USB and the aux cord with the settings allowing the USB power to always be on.

I am using a VM (Fusion 11.5) on a mac (Catalina 10.15.3) to run waveforms in Windows 10.  However, I also tried using waveforms directly on my mac with the same result.  Windows seems to detect the device which is shown in one of the pictures below.

Any help is greatly appreciated

Hi @jwallin,

Luckily, it looks like the Analog Discovery 2 was just renamed (which you can do through the button labeled "Rename") and that it is working correctly since it is detecting the serial number. Where/how did you get this Analog Discovery 2? Normally it will just have a name of "Discovery2".

Thanks,
JColvin
