NetFPGA Virtex-II Pro support Rocket I/O

Question

Hello, We are working on an older system with a Virtex-II pro with rocket I/o and would like to know if the NetFPGA Virtex-II Pro FPGA Development System would be a suitable development board ( it is the same fpga I just need to see if it supports rocket I/o).

Yes, Virtex-II Pro uses RocketIO. Please see the following references:

https://www.xilinx.com/support/documentation/user_guides/ug024.pdf

https://www.xilinx.com/support/documentation/application_notes/xapp656.pdf (mentions multi-gigabit transceiver (MGT) in regards to RocketIO)

But we're not sure in what interfaces RocketIO is used. Support is provided by netfpga.org.

This archived page mentions multi-gigabit IO's on the SATA interfaces.

Also, here are the places where support for NetFPGA happens:

mailing list: https://mailman.stanford.edu/mailman/listinfo/netfpga-dev

All board specific mailing lists are mentioned at the bottom of this page. There isn't a list specific to this board, so you might ask on one of the other mailing lists.

You can also open issues in the following github repos:

https://github.com/NetFPGA/netfpga

https://github.com/NetFPGA/NetFPGA-public
