Zainab
Hello, I want some clarification here and help if that is possible. 1- Is the 1 million samples only available on the record mode of the scope? 2- Is "rate" the same thing as the sample frequency? and what is its max in analog discovery 2? I need to set my scope to 160k samples at 500M Hz sample frequency. Is that possible using the analog discovery 2? and if so, how can I do it? JColvin
Hi @Zainab, I believe that is correct that the 1 million samples is only available on the record mode. However, because it is streaming the data over USB, you will be limited to a 1 MHz sample rate and would not be able to use the 100 MHz sample rate you show in your screen capture. The sample rate and frequency are effectively the same thing; the hardware is always sampling at the 100 MHz rate, but the software will report a smaller number of samples. The Analog Discovery 2 (and the original) both have a maximum sample rate of 100 MHz as limited by the hardware, so you would not be able to achieve a 500 MHz sample rate. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks, JColvin
