WAVEFORMS script acquire data using an external trigger signal

Hi,

 

I'm a new user, I've been working on a task but I'm not quite sure I'm conceiving it the right way. I need to acquire two signals: one will be a digital 1/0 signal from a switch or a button that will trigger the acquisition of the other (analog) signal for a couple of seconds, when value is '1'.  Then, the idea is to process the analog signal (some maths functions) and send the results back using another channel. I would like also to set the workspace from the script to set properly the acquisition conditions.

You can use the digital signal as external trigger to trigger on rising or falling edge of this, but you can also use it as digital input in Logic Analyzer or in Scope (Add Channel/Digital/Signal).
You can create a Script to wait for capture, process the data and control any tool to provide feedback like with Wavegen, Patterns, Protocol UART/SPI/I2C ...
