power issue on babsys 3

hello,

 

When I plugged the micro usb cable on the J4 connector   (usb configuration is set  as power source from J2 connector) ant I active  the switch power on , the board remains off (power led is off).

The basys 3  has already worked  (from vivado it was possible to open the hw and program the FPGA) in the past but  now I have this issue.

Hi, based on your information, it looks like the Basys 3 worked before. Can you tell what it was done before you have the issue? This can better help you troubleshoot the problem

Hi Alex,

Nothing which can explain this issue. If I plugged a cable on the USB host (not the USB JTAG connector) the board can be power on and I can use the bitstream  stored in the SPI Flash (program downloaded before the power issue).

I need to check some voltages values on the board at least.

Does your board turn on when you connect an external 5v to J6 and switch J2 to EXT?

I found the issue : the micro usb connector was unsoldered. I fixed the problem and now the board works fine when I plugge a cable on the USB hot.
