Hi @sanjana,

Welcome to the Digilent Forums!

The Nexys 4 is an FPGA's. There is not a dedicated SPI bus like there are in Microcontrollers. Here are some good websites for additional information on FPGA's:

FPGA4FUN,   asic world and digilent learn

To use the Nexys 4 with Microblaze (soft core processor) and the PmodMIC3 IP Core (here) you should look at the following tutorials.

1) On the resource center for the Pmod MIC3 Please look at the Getting Started with Digilent Pmod IPs .

2) On the resource center for the Nexys 4 please look at the Getting Started with the Vivado IP Integrator, Getting Started with Vivado and the Installing Vivado and Digilent Board Files.

If you are wanting to use HDL(verilog/VHDL) to configure the Nexys 4 to work with the PmodMIC3 a community member has a VHDL project here that uses the PmodMIC3 and the Basys 3 (Artix-7).  If you choose this path you will need to use the XDC for your FPGA here  and use the basys 3's XDC from the project as a reference.

thank you,

Jon
