jpeyron
Hi @robfinch, The USB HID Host would not be able to interface with the Logitech gamepad. Here is the resource center for the Nexys Video. Here is the reference manual. on page 15 in section 8. USB HID Host describes the USB HID HOST and how it can be used. The PIC24 firmware for the USB HID HOST will only communicate with PS2 keyboards and mice. You might be able to use the Pmod RS232 here and then use a RS232 to USB cable, like this, to connect the logitech gamepad to the Pmod RS232. cheers, Jon
robfinch
Would it be possible to use the micro-usb uart connection rather than a rs232 which takes a pmod port?
jpeyron
Hi @robfinch, You should be able to use the J13 UART to connect to the Logitech gamepad using a USB A to Micro-B Cable. You will then not be able to use J13 to communicate to a PC. cheers, Jon
robfinch
I think there is no supply voltage supplied with the micro-usb connector. IIRC it's not shown on the schematic. The gamepad will need a supply so I think I'll use a usb-host to serial module I found on the web.
