PMOD AD1 interface with digilent arty7 SP7 EVAL BOARD

Hi

I am doing closed loop current control in my thesis. I already bought a Pmod ad1 and will be ordering Arty S7: Spartan-7 FPGA Board. Although, this is my first time and do not have any idea how to interface both of them. Can you share interfacing files if someone has done similar interface or a reference manual to do this. Any help is appreciated.

Hi @Sid,

Here is the resource pages for the AD1 and the Arty-S7. You should install Vivado and the digilent board files which are in this tutorial here. You have two ways to use the Arty-S7 with the Pmod AD1. You can use either HDL(VHDL/Verilog) or Microblaze (soft core processor).  Here is a community project for the Pmod AD1 done in VHDL by @hamster. We also have a Pmod AD1 IP Core here. Here is a tutorial for how to use the IP cores.
