how do I use the new file project_info.tcl

Question

A recent change to the demonstration Cmod-A7-35 GPIO example (and others) here https://github.com/Digilent/Cmod-A7-35T-GPIO/commit/7bc1448626433ee2c2f493e48bf7b69a76b208b2#diff-a1605eb6dd43eccff08627ccfcfd10fd

has removed the create_project.tcl file, which is referenced in your documentation here https://reference.digilentinc.com/learn/programmable-logic/tutorials/github-demos/start

Can you please point me to updated "how to get started" documentation that is valid for vivado 2018.2 and the latest source code repository changes?

Thank you

Hi @rrhbev,

My understanding is that we're in the middle of working on changing how our releases work for newer versions of Vivado as they are released, starting with Vivado 2018.2, but I don't personally know how far along/polished the release script is for this newer version. My understanding is that the reference page you referenced here, apply to the release tabs for the projects such as for the Cmod A7 35T GPIO demo here

I'm not certain how it will apply/change for any 2018.2 versions of the projects; I'll have to defer to @artvvb on that, who should be able to get back to you next week.

Thanks,
JColvin

Hi @rrhbev,

We are currently in the process of updating most of our projects to Vivado 2018.2. Here is a link that shows how to make a release from sources if you were wanting to do this before we have updated our project.

thank you,

Jon
