Cannot activate Labview home

Hi!

Yesterday I got my link for the download and the key. Unfortunately I first had to install Windows XP in a virtual machine as I didn't recognize that Labview Home is only for Windows...

Now I have installed Windows and the Labview version from the link (ca. 1,4 GB) and wanted to license it. I found the way in here but still my key which is 10 numbers/letters is not valid.

What can we do?

Hi @magus,

I  believe it is a  9 digit serial number  instead of 10 digits as described in the LabVIEW Home Edition installation instructions.

Yes. I guess so. But that's all I got for my purchase of the LabView Home edition from digilentinc. 

Whom can I can I contact to get the correct key?

Hi @magus,

As a confirmation check, when you are attempting to activate the LabVIEW Home Edition software while connected to the internet correct? My understanding of the procedure follows:

- Launch NI License Manager from the Windows start menu. 
- In the left column find LabVIEW Home Edition.  Right click it and choose activate.
- Choose automatically activate through a secure internet connection.
- Enter your 9 digit serial number and complete the activation process.
- Repeat the steps for Applications Builder (under Modules) and any of the other LabVIEW Home Edition Modules you've installed (listed below).

LabVIEW Home Edition includes the following:

- LabVIEW Full Development System
- LabVIEW Control Design and Simulation Module
- LabVIEW MathScript RT Module
- LabVIEW Application Builder

If this is not working for you, let us know and I will work with our sales team so that we can manually generate the activation code for you.

Thanks, @JColvin. The issue was resolved. I got a wrong license key.
