squarenut
Wow, I'm impressed. My first question: Can both the USB cable to a PC and the external (barrel connector) power supply (5.0 V 4.0 Amp) be connected at the same time? Will AD2 then select automatically from which source draw power? Thanks
jpeyron
Hi @squarenut, Welcome to the Forums! External supply options state you should use a 5V, 2.5A as suggested here under Other Features. Your suggested 5.0v 4.0 amp should be fine since the device will only draw the amperage that it will use. In the reference manual here under Power Supplies and Control it describes that the device with recognized and draw from the external power when connected and the usb uart connection will then be only used for communications to control the device. thank you, Jon
squarenut
Thanks, Is there a chance that the WaveForms software will be made available for Android Tablets?
attila
Hi @squarenut The WaveForms application can be built and run on Android. There would be just a little interface optizations needed for small screens. However I'm not sure about the USB connection, how much work or if the USB controller is compatible with Android. Not USB UART, but higher speed communication is used for EExplorer, Analog/Digital Discovery.
