slearn
Which pins of analog discovery 1 should i connect with the lvds pins of an virtex 5 or artix 7. I need to give a dc voltage to lvds buffer 1 and another voltage to lvds buffer 2 and see the output using a cmos switch Which pins of Analog Disovery 1 should and Which will be the pins i need to use in a artix 7 or virtex
jpeyron
Hi @slearn, I move this forum thread to a section where more experienced Analog Discovery 1 engineers look. thank you, Jon
attila
Hi @slearn You can generate a DC level and a signal with Wavegen (AWG) channels, and see the input and output of your FPGA using the Scope channels. Don't forget to connect the ground of the AD to the FPGA. Note: The AWG outputs of Analog Discovery (1 & 2) might show a spike during software connect/disconnect. To protect the possibly sensitive LVDS circuit make sure to attach the wires to the FPGA only after you have connected and configured it from the application.
