Eeboard Offset Setting

Hi, I’m using Digilent EEBoard trying to get 1MHz 0V to 4V square waveform from Analog Wavegen.  My setting is amplitude 2V & offset 2V but actual output is still -2V to +2V square waveform.  Anyone can help? Many thanks.

Since with the EEboard Scope DC input you see the offset on AWG, it means this output signal is good.

The problem is in wiring or your bench oscilloscope setup.

Make sure the oscilloscope channel is set to DC mode and not AC.

Make sure to connect ground between the EEboard and oscilloscope, probe shield to EE GND pin.

 

The ground of the EEboard is connected to the computer through the USB cable. In case you are using laptop or other mobile device, probably its ground is floating because the switching supplies usually don't have the wall plug grounding wired to the DC output V-.

Such floating ground acts as an AC filter.

Hi,

Make sure you connect the AWG output to Scope DC input and not to AC. The later one removes the DC component of the input signal.

Hi,  Scope DC input is showing correct waveform (0 to 4V) but my oscilloscope is showing -2V to 2V.

Hi, I'm using laptop.  I connected the oscilloscope probe GND to EE board power supply GND.  But my oscilloscope is showing -2V to 2V waveform.
