Hi Joseph,

I presume you are referring to the Microchip Universal Development Board (UDB)? If not, I'm not sure which product you're referring to.

I personally haven't used the UDB before, but I'll help out as much as I can.

1. The UDB can be programmed with Microchip's MPLAB X by using a PICkit3 or a chipKIT PGM Programmer. I believe the MPLAB X is a free download from Microchip.
2. Digilent has several D/A converters available; the PmodDA1, PmodDA2, PmodDA3, and PmodDA4.
3. Similiarly, Digilent has several A/D converters, the PmodAD1, the PmodAD2, and PmodAD5. A popular combination of ADC and DACs are the PmodAD1 and PmodDA2 since they are both 12-bit converters.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

Thanks,
JColvin
