Pmod ISNS20

Question

Hi everybody,

I recently bought a pmod isns20 and I have problems with reading values on AC current (230V 50Hz). It returns random values. But in DC current it returns good values.

I recover the values through spi with an arduino micro.

I tried all the combinations of the jumps to change filtering or sampling frequency but nothing good ...

Could you help me ? Is there someting special to for for measuring AC currents ?

Thanks in advance !

Best regards

Hi @Francoisb24,

What magnitude of current are you expecting to measure with your AC current and can you provide some additional information on what you mean by random values? With this particular chip (ACS722LLCTR-20AB), the sensitivity is 66 mV/A and with no current flow, the measured voltage (representative of no current for a bi-directional output) should be approximately 1.5V.

As for the jumpers, you will likely want both jumpers enabled to set the sampling rate to 120 Hz.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks,
JColvin
